Who We Are

President & Founder Mor Spicer
Since the age of four, Spicer has been getting her family kicked out of restaurants for her love of animals and her inability to keep that opinion to herself. Mor founded Bark Point Studio - an animal portrait and animal-themed children’s book business, in 2012, following her graduation from Syracuse University. She always imagined Peace Pointe, and it was through her creative works with existing animal rescue, volunteers, fosters, and animal parents across the globe, that that vision has finally started to come to fruition. As an ethical vegan she hopes Peace Pointe can bring community, kindness, and compassion into the lives of all Americans, while platforming animals as individuals.

Zack Brown
Zack Brown first fell in love with animals when his family adopted an all white cat named Sugar. Zack was about 5 at the time, but Sugar made some very large pawprints on his heart.
Since then animals have been a huge part of his life, cats, dogs, even a chinchilla have shared his home over the years, they give his life meaning beyond himself.
Zack also has a strong passion for community service, which led him to volunteer at the Greenburgh Nature Center in his youth. Through this experience his appreciation for the importance of rescuing and rehabilitating animals was cemented, and was where his dreams of one day running a shelter began to take shape.
After meeting the love of his life Mor Spicer, the pair embarked on a lifelong journey to give voice to the voiceless, help the innocent, and not only put an end to end to animal suffering, but create the conditions for all living beings to thrive. -
Ian Rugg
Ian is a life long resident of Monmouth County and deeply committed to the long term well being of its denizens, human or otherwise. Ian believes that a life lived more in synch with the natural world has myriad benefits, and is excited to help Peace Pointe guide local communities towards a greater sense of connection, inclusion, and sustainability. As Peace Pointe continues to grow and evolve, Ian hopes to be the reminder that “how you get there” is as important as “where you are going.” If you want to say hi at an event, just look for the man who dresses like an off-duty wizard!

Tara McCormick
Tara’s love and passion for animals started at a young age. She would make weekly visits to her grandmother’s house where she rehabilitated birds and squirrels. Growing up she had a dog, multiple guinea pigs, hamsters, and a bunny. Now she has two cats, two guinea pigs and a dog (all rescues of course) and hopes to help shape a better world where all animals have a home. Adopt don’t shop!
